From the Superintendent’s Desk

We hope you have had a wonderful summer as we are looking forward to another outstanding school year at Stockbridge Community Schools!

We want to welcome you back for the 2019-2020 school year along with our many new families to the district.  We have spent the summer preparing our school facilities and classrooms for the return of students for the first day of school.

We have a dedicated and talented staff at Stockbridge Community Schools. Our staff has spent a tremendous amount of time preparing for the upcoming school year. We have hired nine new teachers across the district this summer that we are very excited about. We feel that our new teachers will have a lot to offer our district and students.

Our district is finalizing our school bond construction work after four consecutive years of school facility projects. Our last construction project is to replace the Smith boilers before the Winter Season. School bond fund called “Series 2” will be opened up during the Summer of 2020. This final funding from the 2015 bond will be utilized to continue technology and bus purchasing through the 2022-2023 school year. We are grateful for the school district community in the support of our schools.

As a district, we will continue to improve on all aspects of our mission statement:

Stockbridge Community Schools will strive to be an exemplary learning community. We create the foundation of this community through meaningful relationships, relevant and rigorous learning, and effective communication.

I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
