From the Superintendent’s Desk: Millage renewal vote scheduled for August 7

Millage renewal vote scheduled for August 7

Stockbridge Community School residents will have the opportunity to vote on the school district’s operating millage renewal on August 7. The operating millage renewal will allow the district to levy 18 mills on non-homestead property. This is not a new tax increase but simply a renewal of millage to continue to provide operating funds to the district as currently maintained. It is a proposal to continue the existing 18 mill assessment on non-homestead properties. The homeowner will not see an increase in property taxes. The cost to the homeowner is $0.

Enclosed in this edition of the Stockbridge Community News is a flier addressing frequently asked questions regarding the upcoming operating millage renewal. Please call, email, or stop in if you have any questions at any time.
