Girls’ Cross Country Wins Hudson Invite, Boys 5th

The Stockbridge cross country teams continue their push toward the postseason with strong showings at the Hudson Invitational Saturday, October 5.

The girls claimed the Division 3 championship, while the boys finished 5th in a tough race.

The Hudson Invite ran Divison 2 and 3 teams together in the Upper Divison race.

Stockbridge came home 4th overall in the girl’s race but was the top Division 3 team to claim the trophy. The Panthers finished with 135 points, easily beating out Ida with 207 and Leslie 217.

Rylee Tolson remained undefeated in races by claiming the top spot, finishing with a time of 18:48, 56 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

Kaitlyn Walker 14th in 21:07, Brianna Hill 18th in 21:25, and Rachel Owens 31st in 22:04 all medalled for the Panthers.

Isabelle Bliss set a PR of 23:33 to finish 76h, Grace Niec finished 84th in 23:45, and Anna Schlaff 93rd in 24:07.

The boys finished 8th overall in the D 2-3 race but finished fith in D3. The Panthers finished with 194 points in the race won by Leslie with 152.

The Panthers had three runners earn medals with Collin Cook finishing 18th in 17:45, Dalton Satkowiak 24th in 17:57, and Micah Bolton 39th in 18:20.

Andy Schlaff was 61st in 18:47, Ryan Owen 62nd with a PR of 18:49, Ben Chapman 81st in 19:10, and Brock Jones 82nd in 19:12.
