Girls varsity softball beats Webberville 14 – 7

Stockbridge Panthers took the lead in with a big third inning and then went on to a 14-7 victory over Webberville on April 19. The game was tied at seven with Stockbridge Panthers Varsity batting in the bottom of the third when they erupted for seven runs.

Stockbridge earned the victory despite allowing Webberville to score five runs in the first inning. Webberville’s big inning was driven by singles, and three errors on a ball put in play.

Webberville got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for Webberville.

In the bottom of the second inning, Stockbridge Panthers Varsity tied things up at seven. Hannah Lockhart drove in one when she doubled.

Emily Breslin earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Stockbridge Panthers Varsity. She surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Hannah Gutting started the game for Stockbridge Panthers Varsity. She allowed seven hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out two.

Stockbridge Panthers Varsity totaled ten hits. Lena Jackson, Taylor Carey, and Paige Wooden each racked up two hits for Stockbridge.

The win raises their record to 6-0.
