Inner Power of Tatar
Dear Editor,
The essay from Ms. Brynn Tatar in your May 2019 edition deserves recognition. As residents of Stockbridge Township and parents of young children, the scene painted by young Ms. Tatar brought my wife and I to tears. The character shown despite massive adversity – indeed, in the absence of any parenting in her younger years whatsoever – is a testament to the inherent potential and inner strength in mankind. Ms. Tatar writes that her success in life depends not on others but on her tenacity and determination. If only more of our youth – most of whom have much more home support – recognized that individual responsibility, a strong work ethic, and faith in one’s own potential are keys to success.
Bravo, Ms. Tatar.
