Obituary: James D. Curts

James D. Curts formerly of Stockbridge, MI passed away August 16, 2018. Jim passed peacefully in his sleep. He was 69 years old.
Jim will be remembered as a loyal Detroit Tiger fan, a talented guitar player and an avid reader. Jim was a great provider who’s love and commitment to his family was evident in all he did. He proudly served in the United States Navy and retired from The NSK Corporation in 2004 before starting a new chapter in his life in North Carolina.
Jim will be reunited with his cherished wife Peggy (O’Doherty) who proceeded him in death. Also proceeding him are his parents Hubert and Helen (Shaver) Curts, his brother Kenneth; Nephew Brian and brother-in-law Rick Corp. Jim will be missed by his loving daughters Debbie (Chuck) Pulling, Jamie (John) Sattler, Jill (Jamie) Adkins, and Mandy (Brad) Bradbury. 12 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Additional family members Jim leaves behind include his brothers Bill (Carolyn) Curts, David (Sandy) Curts, sisters Susan Curts and Kelly Corp; and many nieces and nephews including Dustin Tart who holds a very special place in the hearts of this family.
Jim’s family would like to extend a special ‘thank you’ to his current wife June for allowing them the honor and privilege of fulfilling his last wishes.
Jim loved his family, his country and his God. He will be greatly missed.
A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday August 25th at St. Cornelius and Cyprian Cemetery, 1320 Catholic Church Rd., Leslie, MI 49251. Please join his family to celebrate his life immediately following the service at 3925 Bull Run Rd., Gregory, MI 48137
