Greetings to All,
I have just returned from Ireland and I am anxious to set our trip participant roster for Ireland, 2019! Please enjoy my photos which are presented in random order and imagine yourself “speak’n with a lit’ul Irish accent today!
The Director’s Preview Tour was wonderful. We toured southern Ireland sampling a bit of Irish history, architecture, scenery, culture, dining, shopping and much more. I have many stories to tell from my trip along with hundreds of photos that I will share throughout the coming year.
After experiencing Ireland myself, I have decided to change our itinerary and remain in Ireland for the entire stay, including Galway, Cork, Waterford, The Cliffs of Moher and more. I am adding a “tin whistle” workshop, an Irish cooking demonstration, a Links Golf option, the Waterford Factory and other. England will be offered as an optional extension visit and MCI will be happy to help with your planing if you are interested. (Ireland offers a “soft” daily pace with great beauty and interest. The Irish people are so very nice!)
I am looking for a “balanced” choir this year so that we may perform on our own in 2-3 different and amazing churches throughout the tour. A 4-part mixed choir of 24 or more would do it! We will sing the same choral literature that is to be sung at the Dublin Choir Festival when venturing on our own concert tour. (I have attached the selected repertoire list) Once again, our trip may include both singers and non-singers. There are 43 seats available in all.
Trip cost will be around $4,200 per person or less, if possible. I will be creating a final itinerary and trip cost with Mauri from Music Celebrations International over the next few weeks and I will let those who respond with a “yes” or “probably”, know a.s.a.p. I am also applying for a few grants that may help everyone financially.

I will hold a detailed informational meeting in August as hip surgery recovery allows. In the mean time, please respond in a separate e-mail if you would like to be included on our trip list, as soon as possible!
MCI is asking for a $200 deposit per traveler by August 1st. Please mail your deposit to me by July 21st, 2018 so that I may arrange for our group deposit payment to MCI. (Of course, deposits will be accepted anytime after if there is room, like in last year’s trip to Italy) Trip deposits and payments will be handled through Stockbridge Community Education, again. Checks may be written to Stockbridge Community Education.
Payment plans will be sent for your convenience as soon as the final trip cost is determined. Google “Music Celebrations International” and view their website as our tour company of choice!
