Lady Panthers Remain Tied Atop GLAC With Rout of Lakewood
At the midway point of the league season the Stockbridge girls’ basketball team remained tied with Leslie atop the GLAC standings after a 56-31 rout of Lakewood Friday night.
Gwen Rogozinski had a big night with 27 points to lead the Panthers.
Lakewood played them tough in the first quarter as the Panthers took a 12-9 lead behind 10 points from Rogozinski, but the Panthers began to pull away in the second. They outscored the Vikings 13-6 in the second to take a 25-15 at the break.
A 16 to 8 run in the third blew the game wide open a the Panthers cruised to the win.
Kaylee Dalton finished with 13 points, while Chelsey Asquith added seven. Madison Mazuca and Brooklyn Rochow scored four each and Makayla Surline one.
The Panthers improved to 9-3 overall and 5-1 in the GLAC.
