Lady Panthers Roll Over Maple Valley

The Stockbridge girls’ basketball team opened GLAC play by rolling to a 57-27 win over Maple Valley Friday night.

Six of the eight Panthers score in the first quarter as Stockbridge took an earl lead.

They blew the game wide open with a huge 28 point third quarter and cruised to the win.

Gwen Rogozinski finished with 22 points to lead Stockbridge.

Kaylee Dalton scored 12 and Grace Hall added 10. Madison Mazuca chipped in with five points, while Rylee Tolson, Chelsey Asquith, Brooklyn Rochow, and Makayla Surline each scored two.

The Panthers dropped a heartbreaking 51-48 decision to Eaton Rapids December 17.

The game was tied with under a minute to go when Eaton Rapids got a steal and basket to take the lead and picked up win.

Rogozinski led the Panthers with 14 points while Dalton added 13. Hall and Mazuca scored seven each, Asquith six, and Rochow one.

The Panthers will return to action Saturday, December 28 when they will take on Monroe at the Jets Holiday Showcase at Carleton Airport High School at 2:00 PM.
