Falling snowflakes glisten in the wind as emcee Gordie Kunzelman announces the start of the tenth annual Festival of Lights parade. Area residents lined Main Street in downtown Stockbridge to watch the light snow and kick off the Christmas season on Saturday, Nov. 27.

With Santa stopping by the Township Square, Boy Scouts selling cups of hot cocoa and Christmas music flooding the downtown area, the magic of Christmas could be felt in those young and old.

Kunzelman sparked excitement as The Electric Parade entries arrived at the SAESA building. Local businesses and residents entered into the 2021 Light Parade. The twinkling lights and festive holiday music dazzled a downtown crowd of hundreds.

Santa and Mrs. Claus ended the parade, drawing cheers from the crowd. Santa wished all a Merry Christmas, and the joy of the season could be read on the faces of all in attendance. Children of all ages ended the evening with a lighter heart and refreshed community spirit.
