Obituary: Hans Joseph Klockes

Hans Josef Klockes. Family, love and a tremendous work ethic were the attributes that defined him and led to his pursuit and achievements. Arriving to Canada in 1956 with only a single suitcase and a dream, he began his journey. After a few years in Canada he would attend a local event where he met the love of his life and soul mate Helene Schneiker and married in 1958. He would later accept a job in Detroit Michigan performing his trade as a master sausage maker and moved to the states in 1962. A few years later, with his farm boy heart, he decided to move the family to a rural one-light town in southwest Michigan where he opened his own business which blossomed and allowed him to live the American dream.

He was stern with a compassionate demeanor and everyone who met him or had the opportunity to work with him would quickly learn how loving and giving his teddy bear heart was.

On Sept. 21, 2018, shortly after his 88 birthday, Hans Josef Klockes departed us after living an incredible life with his loving wife of 61 years, his two adoring children and doing what he loved the most. He will be lovingly remembered by wife Helene Klockes and children Christel Klockes, and Hans H Klockes.

A memorial to celebrate his life as a son, husband, father and friend was held at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, located at 2323 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511 on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 11:00 a.m.
