Obituary: Phyllis Ann Ulfig
On May 27th, 2020, Phyllis Ann Ulfig passed away peacefully at age 78 in the UF Health Shands Cancer Center in Gainesville, FL.
It would be wrong to say that Phyllis lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter what the challenge, she was always determined. Born in Stockbridge Michigan, Phyllis did things her way. The true life of the party, Phyllis shared her zest and unique style with all that knew her. Defined by her strong work ethic and fierce independence, she lived without fear and without regret. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, you could count on Phyllis for her unfiltered wisdom in times of need. She loved to visit, laugh, live and of course cook one of the best meals you have ever had.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Lesa, son Harvey (Amy) and Andy (Carrie), sister Connie Poxson, brother Dick Dysert and seven grandchildren. The family will be hosting a Celebration of her Life later this summer in Stockbridge, Michigan, details to follow.
