Obituary: Reba L Marshall
Reba Louise (Rice) Marshall entered the Sweet Hereafter on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at WellBridge of Pinckney, in Pinckney, Michigan at the age of 95. She was born in Webberville, MI on August 9th, 1925 to Merton and Geneva Rice. After graduation from Dansville High School she worked at the Stockbridge State Bank. It was there that she met the love of her life, H. Edgar Marshall of Gregory. They were married for 67 years until Ed’s passing on May 25, 2013.
Reba is survived by her children Jill (Stan) Cross and Jack (Deborah) Marshall; granddaughters, Jennifer (Neal) Bookspan of Phoenix, AZ; Kathryn (Abe) Kohler of Traverse City, MI; Amanda (Liberty) Van Hine of Glendale, AZ; Meghan (Aaron) Gerisch of Kingwood, TX; and Michelle Cross of Nokomis, Florida; 11 great grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Ruth Ann Rice of Webberville and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a great many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Edgar Marshall, parents, Merton and Geneva Rice, brother-in-law Donald and sister-in-law, Jean Marshall; sister-in-law Janet and brother-in-law Sam Massie; niece Susan (Marshall) Cobb; and great grandson, Aric Urban Kohler.
Reba was a pillar of her communities, both in her summer residence in Gregory, MI as well as her winter residence in Nokomis, FL, and was honored July 31, 2019 by the Gregory Community Church for her long-standing work & support. Her favorite activities were water aerobics, playing cards and line dancing, which she was able to participated in until she was 91.
Memorial will be scheduled for next summer. Donations would be appreciate at the Gregory Community Church where Reba was a member.
