Obituary: Shawn William Allen

Shawn William Allen                                   Nov. 11, 1974  to Aug. 26, 2019

Shawn William Allen, age 44, passed away on August 26, 2019. He was born on November 11, 1974, the son of Taylor and Joan (Outwater) Allen. He is survived by his parents, his two children, Devin Allen and Hana Rylee Allen, both of Stockbridge, his sister Kimberley, (Joe Jr.) Medina, of Stockbridge, his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Freida Jean Allen, many nieces and nephews, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Shawn was preceded in death by his brother, Justin Wayne Allen, his maternal grandparents, William and Norma Outwater, and Uncle Pat Outwater.

Shawn graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1992. Shawn then chose a career in the financial field that spanned more than 25 years with Merrill Lynch. Shawn began his career in the mail room, all the while accepting and completing all the challenges to be named the Market Executive for the North Central Ohio market. His biggest passion in life was to be a good father for his kids and to show them how proud he was of their accomplishments. Shawn dedicated his life to helping others aspire to do their best, be their best, and realize how important they truly are. He enjoyed golfing, swimming, boating, reading and writing.

Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sts. Cornelius and Cyprian Catholic Church, 1320 Catholic Church Rd., Leslie, on Thursday, August 29, 2019  with Rev. James Shaver presiding. Visitation was from 10-11 a.m. same day.  A private burial will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to Sts. Cornelius and Cyprian Catholic Church or the Stockbridge Church of Christ.
