Obituary: Warren K. Scheppe

Warren K. Scheppe, age 80, of Stockbridge, MI, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at his home. He was born in Plymouth, MI on July 21, 1939, the son of Warren W. and Mary (Childers) Scheppe. He married Anita Rae (Bailey) in Livonia in 1969, she survives. Also surviving are three children: Jeffrey Steckelberg (Leela Vernon) of Stockbridge, Josef Scheppe (Amber Badour) of Ann Arbor, and Kristin Scheppe (Brian Ball) of Stockbridge, two grandchildren, Faith and Jenna, three half-sisters, Audrey (Mark) Plath of Petoskey, Mary Ellen Lindsey and Linda Gabbert, both of Wayne, MI, and one half-brother, Howard Gabbert ofΒ MI.Β He was preceded in death by a brother, William Kurt Scheppe, a half-brother, John, and niece, Julie.
Warren served in the United States Navy from 1956-1959. He had lived in the Stockbridge area for the past 50 years. He enjoyed Harley-Davidson and British motorcycles. He also loved trucks, watching the Detroit Red Wings and Michigan State football.
On Sunday, October 13, 2019, there will be a time to gather from 3:00 p.m. β 5:00 p.m. at the White Oak Township Hall with light refreshments served. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Warrenβs memory may do so to the Stockbridge Community Outreach or the Stockbridge Library. Arrangements by Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge .
