Panthers Fall to Rival Leslie
An early lead could not hold up as the Stockbridge football team fell to rival Leslie 35-14 Friday, September 25.
The Panthers took an early lead when Riley Kennedy scored on a five-yard run for a 6-0 lead.
Leslie bounced back with a pair of scores to lead 14-6 after one quarter.
The score would remain that way into the second half when the Blackhawks scored on an 11-yard TD run and a 71-yard punt return touchdown for a 28-6 lead after three.
The lead grew to 35-6 in the fourth before the Panthers found the endzone on a 33 yard pass from Drew Philipp to Robidou. Philipp hit Spencer McClellan with the two-point conversion to make the final 35-14.
Kennedy was 6-12 passing for 75 yards and rushed for 64 yards and a score before leaving the game with an injury. Phillip was 4-12 for 63 yards and a TD.
Jeremy Pilch rushed for 55 yards on two carries and caught three passes for 62 yards, while Robidou caught six passes for 63 yards and a score.
Philipp was in on six tackles to lead the defense. Robidou finished with five tackles and Matt Killinger four.
The Panthers fell to 1-1 overall on the season. They travel to Lakewood Friday night for a GLAC matchup with the Vikings.
