Panthers Pull Away from Aggies in Opener
The varsity boys’ basketball team used a 20-4 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from Dansville for a 56-36 season-opening win last week.
Dansville led 7-6 after one, but the Panthers outscored the Aggies 23-15 in the second to take a 29-22 lead at the break. Joey Ballagh and Jalen Rogozinski hit two triples each in the quarter to spark the Panthers.
Dansville fought back and outscored the Panthers 10-7 in the third to cut the lead to 36-32, but the fourth was all Stockbridge.
Drew Robinson scored eight in the fourth, while Rogozinski and Kegan Collins both hits big triples in the quarter to help the Panthers pull away.
Collins led Stockbridge with 17 points.
Rogozinski and Robinson scored 11 points each and Ballagh eight. Jake Sawicki finished with four points, Zach Fletcher three, and Noah Lewis two.
