Stockbridge Police responded to the following complaints this week:
10/26/18, 4:40 pm: Traffic crash at S. M-52 and M-106. A woman rear-ended another vehicle at the intersection. Minor damage, no injuries reported.
6:20 pm: Traffic stop in the 200 block of N. Clinton for expired plates. Upon contact with the driver, a 36-yr-old Stockbridge woman, Stockbridge police noticed a strong smell of Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The woman was asked if she had a medical card and she stated she did not. The driver admitted to having a small amount of the drug inside the car. She was detained and the vehicle was searched. A small amount of marijuana was seized. The driver was given several citations and released pending a warrant.
10/30/18, 11:35 am: Traffic crash at M-52 and Morton. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and minor injuries were reported. The at-fault driver was cited for failure to yield.
10/31/18, 10:40 pm: Misdemeanor arrest in the 200 block of Mills Ave. Police arrested a 28-yr-old Stockbridge man for failure to appear on a probation violation warrant out of Ingham Co. He was transported to Ingham Co. Jail and lodged.
11/3/18, 4:40 pm: Citizen assist in the 100 block of W. Elizabeth Police were approached by a homeless woman who advised she was from Washington. The 59-yr-old woman was assisted with some provisions for the night and transported to Chelsea.
11/6/18, 6:15 pm: Trouble with juveniles in Veteran’s Park. The police were called to an unknown trouble/possible fight in the park. Upon arrival Stockbridge police made contact with several uncooperative juveniles but no fight was occurring. They were all questioned and released. Verbal warnings only.
11/8/18, 12:10 pm: Traffic crash in the 100 block of E. Main St. An elderly woman pulled out from a parking space and collided with a passing car causing minor damage. The at-fault driver was cited.
11/9/18, 5:45 pm: Harassment complaint involving 2 juveniles at the high school. No crime. The complaint was turned over to the school officials.
