POLICE BLOTTER FROM VILLAGE OF STOCKBRIDGE
Stockbridge Police responded to the following complaints this week:
03/20/18 12:00 pm: SPD received information from the Stockbridge High School in reference to a knife being taken from a student by staff on 03/19/2018. The investigation determined that the student had mistakenly brought his pocketknife to school. No students were threatened or harmed by said student. The knife was turned over to SPD and the High School resolved the issue with the student.
03/20/18 10:00 am: SPD responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of M-106 and S. M-52. A 57yr old male Cadillac resident semi-truck driver missed his turn onto S. M-52 from M-106 and came to a stop in the roadway. The truck driver proceeded to back up in the roadway and had a collision with the front end of a vehicle that he couldn’t see behind his trailer. No injuries were reported by the truck driver or the 34yr old female Munith resident.
03/21/18 1:00 pm: SPD received a late complaint of a failure to pay for gasoline incident that occurred on 3/19/2018. A local business reported that a person pumped gas and drove off without paying. SPD is currently investigating this complaint.
03/21/18 10:37 pm: SPD was requested by the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office to assist them on a traffic stop on Territorial Road near Bunkerhill Road. SPD stood by and assisted the Sheriff’s Office with an illegal drugs investigation.
03/22/18 8:40 am: SPD received a call from a male 72yr old Stockbridge resident reporting that there was an unwanted person on his property who wouldn’t leave. SPD arrived and made contact with the unwanted person who was discovered to be the male 26yr old grandson of the caller. The grandson advised that he did not know that his grandfather didn’t want him on his property and agreed to leave.
03/22/18 9:15 pm: SPD assisted Blackman Township Police with a missing person complaint. SPD was informed that the missing person, a female 19yr old Blackman Township resident, may be staying at an apartment in the 200 block of Mills Avenue in Stockbridge. SPD located the missing person and it was determined that she was voluntarily missing.
03/24/18 6:50 pm: SPD was on patrol in the 800 block of S. Clinton Street and discovered a private property car accident. A female 33yr old Stockbridge resident pulled out in front of a male 65yr old Stockbridge resident. The female advised that the other vehicle was in her blind spot. No injuries were reported and SPD took the report.
