Soccer Downs Charyl Stockwell on Senior Night
The girls’ soccer team picked up a pair of wins last week, including a 5-0 win over Charyl Stockwell Academy on Senior Night.
Senior’s Rachel Frazzini, Paige Brown, Jazmine Hawkins, and Beth Plennert were honored in their final home game for the Panthers and they came out victorious.
The Panthers took a 1-0 lead in the first half and blew the game open with four second-half goals.
Chelsey Asquith and Baylee Heidrich scored two goals each for the Panthers, while Kaylin Heidrich scored one.
Plennert earned the shutout in net with the help of the defense of Paige Brown, Jazmine Hawkins, Baylee Heidrich, Sylvia Whitt, Ori Hackworth, Peyton Killinger, Hailey Howard, Evey Ortiz-Martinez, and Maria Risner that did not allow a shot on goal.
The Panther made it two straight with a 4-3 win over Arbor Prep May 17.
Stockbridge trailed 2-1 at the half but rallied for three second-half goals to pull out the win.
Asquith scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in the second half. Kylin Heidrich cored the other two goals for the Panthers.
