SRSLY Encourages Healthy Choices for Youth at 5th Annual 3×3 Basketball Tournament
SRSLY Stockbridge is celebrating another successful 3×3 Basketball Tournament, which was held on Saturday, March 17 at the Stockbridge Jr/Sr High School. More than 60 youth in grades 4-12 took to the courts to compete in 12-minute, half-court games. The event promoted health and wellness across the Stockbridge community, including moving more and having fun without drugs or alcohol.
Congratulations to the 2018 winners in each division!

New this year was the 3-Point Contest, where competitors were given 15 basketballs and 45 seconds to shoot as many 3-point shots as they could. The winner of the high school/adult division was Hunter Winnie with 7 baskets. In the youth division, Logan Fowler and Spencer Tanner tied with 6 baskets, with Spencer winning the tie-breaker.
Now in its fifth year, the 3×3 Basketball Tournament was started by members of SRSLY’s Youth.
“We thought it would be a good way to help more people know about SRSLY because people like basketball,” said Connor, now in 8th grade.
“And it’s a good way for people to just have fun!” added Logan, also in 8th Grade.
More than 100 people filled the bleachers during the tournament Saturday to cheer on their family and friends. SRSLY would like to thank everyone for being respectful spectators and for creating a fun, positive day for the players!
SRSLY would also like to thank its volunteers, Stockbridge Community Schools, Jet’s Pizza, and the 5 Healthy Towns Foundation for making the tournament possible.
