March 15, 2020 Update #4

Dear SCS Families:
On Tuesday, March 17th, SCS will offer breakfast and lunch to any child 18 years of age or younger who attends SCS or lives in the community. This includes children who are younger than 5 years of age, as well as students with disabilities ages 18-26 with an active education plan. On Tuesday afternoon each child will receive a package of food containing meals for four days. In order to better estimate the number of meals needed to serve all children, we will notify you in a future communication when the next pickup date and time will be. The first drive-up pickup will be on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 17th from 4pm – 6pm in three locations within the Stockbridge Community School District.

● Smith Elementary School — 100 Price Ave, Stockbridge
● Unadilla Twp Hall –126 Webb Street, Gregory
● Former Katz Elementary — 11120 Musbach Rd, Munith

For families who are unable to pick up food or have special dietary needs, please contact us at (517) 214-5552 or email trappj@panthernet.net. In your message/email please include the following:

● Name
● Address
● Number of children
● Dietary restrictions

Children do not have to be present with their parents to pick up food. In short, we are able to offer up to 2 meals per day for every child in our district through specific funding from the State of Michigan and USDA Funds. Please do not hesitate to participate in this opportunity. We will not deny any children food and are prepared to support ANY child 18 and under with at least two meals through April 5th. This also includes students with disabilities ages 18-26 with an active educational program. Please do not feel as if you are taking resources from someone else. This is a special program to support ALL children at a challenging time for all families.

Sincerely,

Karl Heidrich
Superintendent
