Stockbridge High School Varsity Softball beat Ladywood High School 7-2
The Lady Panthers beat Livonia Ladywood on Tuesday night in the opening round of the MHSAA district tournament by a score of 7-2. The win gave the Panthers 22 victories on the season, tying the school record with the 2006 team. They will have the opportunity to set the record on Saturday as they travel to Whitmore Lake to face Ann Arbor Greenhills at 10 am.
The offense was led by Taylor Carey’s three hits, while Lena Jackson and Emily Breslin each had two. Jackson and Carey each scored a pair of runs as well.
Emily Breslin on the win as she struck out 8 and walked 2. Madi Mazuca added some nice defense in the victory as well.
