Stockbridge Police Department Highlights: March 2-6

3/2/18, 4:45 pm: Check welfare of a juvenile. SPD was notified by the Michigan State Police that a call was placed to the suicide hotline about a Stockbridge area juvenile who was making statements about harming themselves. SPD was able to I.D. the minor through sources and discovered the minor lived in Livingston Co. Contact was made with Unadilla Twp. Police to have the subject checked.

The subject was found to be safe. Notification was made to parents.

3/5/18, 7:50 a.m: Domestic assault complaint in the 200 blk of N. Center St. SPD was called to a domestic complaint involving an elderly woman and her granddaughter. SPD arrived and made contact with the alleged victim, a 28-yr-old Munith woman and her significant other. The alleged victim stated it was a misunderstanding and did not wish to pursue the matter and there was no injury to her. She was later arrested on a warrant out of Jackson Co. and later turned over to them. SPD made contact with the 78-yr-old grandmother at a later time as she had left the scene. Her statement was taken and she advised that the contact was inadvertent. No charges pending.

3/6/18, 2:55 pm: Assist Ingham Co. Sheriff on a suicidal subject in the 2600 blk of Linn Rd. SPD provided mutual aid assistance with a crisis negotiator as the Ingham Co. S.D. did not have one available to make the scene. Authorities were called by the Veteran’s Hospital about a veteran calling the hotline and was suicidal. The man was found to be alone, intoxicated, and no firearms. No further action taken.

             5:25 pm: Alarm in the 100 blk of W. Main St. SPD was dispatched to an alarm and found it secure upon arrival. The owner was notified and SPD found it was due to occupant error.
