by Cindy Lance
Jr/Sr High 8th grade student Cheyenne Calhoun has attended Stockbridge Community Schools her entire academic life. Her most memorable experience so far has been in Mrs. Taylor’s kindergarten class, and she has developed a love for English and Math. This can be seen through the comments of her current teachers in these subjects. “Cheyenne is a hard working student. She always gives her best and has a smile on her face. She asks questions, helps others, and is a wonderful student to have in class.” –Hilary Lyman-Bower “Cheyenne adds great, positive energy to the mathematics classroom. I appreciate how she sets an example for her peers by frequently volunteering, asking good questions, and always completing her assignments on time.” – Lissa Avis
The daughter of Jason and Tira Calhoun, she is the second eldest child with older sibling Zach and three younger; Cree, Tala and Alex. Her family and friends have influenced her, being told that she can do anything she puts her mind to. Cheyenne wants to graduate high school and pursue a college degree in either Special Education or Art. She is a member of the Youth Bowling League and likes to paint and help her friends with homework.
