More animals at the library

About 45 people recently turned out for a “Reading with the Animals Storytime” presented by Potter Park Zoo docents at the Stockbridge Library.  The docents read animal-themed stories and brought live animals a rat, a garter snake, a ring-necked dove and a blue-tongued skink – for kids to see and learn about.

Kids were also invited to pet skins & pelts of a zebra, a snow leopard, and a python.  The storytime was capped by a make-n-take craft – frog puppets.  Potter Park Zoo will return to the library for another storytime with four different live animals on Wednesday, March 21, at 1:30 pm.The storytimes complement another zoo-related offering available at the library: CADL cardholders can check out a family zoo pass, free to one household and good for a 2 week period from the date of checkout.
