Thirty-five years after graduation from Stockbridge High School, members of the Class of 1983 gathered Aug. 11 for a reunion to reminisce, get reacquainted and just have a fun time.

The memories came flooding back during the evening as the classmates visited with each other. Many had not been in contact for 15 years, since the last reunion in 2003.
“Our class was the seventh class to graduate from the high school. That was back when lime green and orange were a definite fashion statement and big hair was on the horizon,” Deanna Cole-Kruger said with a laugh.
The 1983 class graduated about 110 students. Dawn Fanson was the valedictorian and John Allen finished a very close second and was named salutatorian.
“It was my freshman year that did me in with two B’s,” Allen said, while sharing a lot of other memories.
Cindy and Don Marshall were kind enough to host the group of 30 graduates and spouses, while providing food and beverages for all.
“Their home is a local car museum and provided the perfect location,” Cole-Kruger added.
Glenn Buckmaster, Allison Penix-Powaga and Tina Mell-Ambs headed up the celebration.

Some classmates couldn’t miss the chance to reconnect with old friends, and share high school memories.
The long-distance champion was Jamie Fetterman, who visited from Arkansas.
