Obituary: Garold Jerry “Jughead” Phillips
Garold Jerry “Jughead” Phillips, age 47, of Jackson, MI passed away at his home on Thursday, October 17, 2019. He was born on January 5, 1972 in Jackson, MI the son of Ivan Phillips and Charlett (Fletcher). He was raised by his mother and step-father Charlett and Dan Freeman, and they survive. Also surviving are two children, Angellica Phillips and Michael Phillips, seven siblings: Bobby Phillips of Chelsea, Jeff Phillips of Chelsea, Dannette Mangual (Ron) of Jackson, Lisa Fletcher of Jackson, Craig (Kim) Freeman of Westphalia, Brett Freeman of Jackson, and Aimee (Mechie) Garrett of Jackson; also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wheeler and Mae Fletcher, and JW and Billy Freeman, and great-niece, Ruby Fletcher.
Jerry had lived in Jackson for the past ten years, moving from Stockbridge. He enjoyed scrapping/junking, hunting, fishing, and telling stories.
Funeral Services will be held at the Highest Praise Worship Center, Stockbridge on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Danny Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends at the Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m
