Friday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m., the Free Masons Lodge donated a check for $1,000 to Stockbridge Outreach in support of families in need for the holidays.
“We are very pleased and excited about supporting Outreach,” Mason C.G. Lantis said.
Following dinner, the Masons installed new officers as follows: Worshipful Master, Jon Beck; Senior Warden, C.G. Lantis, Junior Warden, Brandy Schneider; Senior Deacon, Dan Wilson; Junior Deacon, Dutch Ramsdell; Treasure, Richard Graff; Secretary, Richard Gibson; Chaplin, Rick Reynolds; Senior Stewart, Randy Griffith; Stewart, Ian Crumb; Stewart, John “Scotch” Lennon; Stewart, Bill Porter; Conductor, Brian Holloway; and Education, Greg Uihlein.
The Stockbridge Free Masons are part of an international fraternal organization that traces its origins to the local fraternities of stonemasons, which from the end of the fourteenth century regulated the qualifications of stonemasons and their interaction with authorities and clients. Masonry teaches that each man has a duty to make life better, not just for himself, but for everyone.
