March 13: As of last night, Governor Witmer announced that all K-12 Michigan private and public schools are closing for three weeks beginning Monday.
In addition, the following local colleges are making these changes:
Lansing Community College: As of 3/13/2020, LCC’s website mentioned that in recognition of the growing and uncertain spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), LCC will extend spring break for students through Tuesday, March 17.  When instruction resumes Wednesday, many classes will be offered online only for the remainder of the spring semester. As of March 13, the college lists some classes that will still meet in person. For updates, see https://www.lcc.edu/about/coronavirus/
Jackson College: As of 3/13/2020, the JC website stated that currently (as of Spring Break week), they have no plans to cancel on-campus classes. However, they are actively monitoring the situation with COVID-19 and developing continuity of operations plans in case they must. For updates, see https://www.jccmi.edu/coronavirus/
