Boys’ Cross Country Ninth at D3 State Finals

The Stockbridge boys’ cross country team had a strong showing at the D3 State Finals at Michigan International Speedway Saturday, coming home with a ninth place finish.

The Panthers were projected by cross country followers across the state to finish 15th so a top 10 finish was a big step for Stockbridge.

Stockbridge finished with 315 points in the race won by St. Louis with 106. They beat out GLAC rival Leslie, who finished 13th. The two were co-champions in the GLAC this season.

Dalton Satkowiak led the Panthers with a 59th place finish in 17:16. The time was 50 seconds better then his time in 2019 at the finals.

Dalton Satkowiak cut 50 seconds off his time from the 2019 finals and finished 59th overall.

Collin Cook was not far behind in 66th with a time of 17:18 and Micah Bolton was 76th in 17:26.

Ben Chapman was 110th in 17:53, Andy Schlaff 154th in 18:21, Brock Jones 164th in 18:29, and Jonah Coffman 181st in 18:45.
