EDIBLE PLANTS FORAGING WALK 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., Sunday, June 4. Find out what Mother Nature has to offer as we join Rachel Mifsud from Will Forage for Foodto look for edible, medicinal, and otherwise useful plants and mushrooms along the Discovery Center trails. The walk will be leisurely, but be prepared to go off the trail as we search for plants. Cost: $2/person or $5/family. CUELLAR’S CRITTERS: 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 11. Join us for an educational and entertaining program with live animals from around the world brought to you by Joby Cuellar. Learn about the lifestyles, habitats and traits that make these animals unique as you view them up close and personal. Cost: $2/person or $5/family. June 14 Zoo in Your Neighborhood
Educators from Potter Park Zoo will present ways to help animals like otters, beavers, ducks, and other animals that live near water. There will be no live animals.
June 21 Lansing Hoops
Miss Missy uses hula hoops, music, and dance to teach new ways to move and have fun.
June 28 Silly Sailor Snoopenheimer
Magician Mat Emerick will put on a show as Silly Sailor Snoopenheimer on the S.S. Friendship. Mat includes stories, songs, juggling and mime along with magic.
Is it arty science or sciency art? Every two weeks a new project comes out to stretch brain cells and tickle imaginations. Available while supplies last.

Geologist Larry Bean will show you how to “read” the story told by rocks and help you to identify specimens at a local quarry. We will meet at the Discovery Center before driving to the quarry to do some collecting. Cost: $2/person or $5/family. The Parks & Recreation Committee of Waterloo Township is planning an Artisan & Vendor Market on Saturday June 24. There will be many local vendors and artisans showing and selling their items, as well as the coffee truck.
