remained a mystery for over 50 years. Enjoy a leisurely nature hike with Michigan Master Naturalist Doug Jackson to
learn about these rare trees and how he began and completed his quest to find them. We will meet at the Discovery
Center for a brief presentation and then carpool to the site where we will begin our hike. Cost: $2/person or $5/family.

This caregiver series assists with reducing caregiving stress by providing useful tools and information about dementia and its impact on brain function.
In this workshop you will learn how to:
- Communicate more effectively with someone who has dementia
- Recognize the stages of dementia
- Provide meaningful daily activities based on your loved one’s interests and abilities
- Better understand and address dementia-related behaviors
- Create a positive caregiving environment
- Appreciate the strategies and benefits of self-care
- Build your network of support
Everyone is welcomed to attend the Dementia Caregiver Series, including family caregivers, professional caregivers or anyone who wants to learn more about dementia.
