Cross Country Teams Second at 2nd GLAC Jamboree

The Stockbridge boys’ and girls’ cross country teams both came home with second place finishes at the 2nd GLAC jamboree of the season at Maple Valley Tuesday, October 6.

The boys finished with 41 points, just behind Leslie with 35.

Dalton Satkowiak led the Panthers with a third place finish in 17:24, followed by Micah Bolton seventh in 17:43. Collin Cook came home 10th in 17:55, with Ben Chapman right behind in 11th  with a time of 18:00. Andy Schlaff finished 15th in 18:33, Brock Jones 20th in 18:50, and Jonah Coffman 24th in 18:55.

The girls finished with 61 points in the race won by Lansing Christian with 47.

Rylee Tolson remained undefeated on the season by winning the race with a time of 18:37.

Brooklyn Rochow was 11th in 20:58 and Brianna Hill 12th in 21:45. Julianna Debozy finished 18th in 22:27, Kaitelyn Walker 19th in 22:37, Peyton Killinger 36th in 25:44, and Joy Youngblood 39th in 26:00.

The teams hosted the Stockbridge Invitational Friday, October 2 and the girls finished 2nd and the boys finished 4th.

The girls finished with 63 points, behind only a strong Chelsea team with 32.

Tolson won the race the girls race with a time of 18:10, while Rochow was seventh in 20:05. Hill was 15th in 21:22, Walker 19th in 21:40, Debozy 24th in 22:05, Youngblood 43rd in 24:32, and Sidney Gipe 53rd in 25:38.

The boys finished with 78 points in a race that just 14 points separated 1st and 4th. Concord won the race with 64.

Satkowiak finished seventh in 16:57 to lead the Panthers, while Cook was 14th in 17:32. Bolton 17th in 17:47, Chapman 19th in 17:55, Schlaff 21st in 17:59, Jones 32nd in 18:37, and Ethan Wright 35th in 18:49.
