Library’s children’s area under renovation
by Sherri McConnell, CADL Stockbridge Head Librarian
Our renovation is well underway, and we’re so excited to welcome you back to our newly improved space later this month! In addition to the fresh paint and additional lighting in the children’s area, we’ll also have a new carpet, a new service desk, and new shelves in the same area. These changes will give us enough space to hold the Family Storytime and other programs in the children’s area. For renovation updates, follow us at facebook.com/CADLStockbridge or check CADL’s homepage at cadl.org.
CADL and Student Success cards can be used at our other branches. Until we reopen, you may want to explore the nearby branches, so let me share a few special things about them!
CADL Mason is a gorgeous library within walking distance of Mason’s bustling downtown. Newly renovated, the branch has a large children’s room with storytimes led by Miss Lindsay, a large selection of tabletop games and programs, and a used bookstore on the second floor.
CADL Dansville is a pillar of the community and a lovely little library. The branch has an active Coffee Chat group, Family Storytime, and STEAM activities for the little ones, and the coziest patio under the trees to sit and enjoy a book or some company.
CADL Webberville has beautiful large windows that complement the spacious atmosphere. You can enjoy a community puzzle or craft in front of the fireplace. Or join the craft club, book club, or storytimes and playtimes led by Miss Betty!
CADL Williamston is a larger library that sports some exciting things, such as a high-tech event room, and an art gallery just around the corner. Inside you can attend a wide range of special crafts, games, book discussion groups or storytimes.
Capital Area District Libraries’ Stockbridge branch is located at 200 Wood St. For more information, call 517-851-7810 or visit cadl.org.
