George &  Sons Tire’s 2nd annual Car/Truck Show draws a crowd

When groups bring business into the Stockbridge area, we all need to celebrate. On Saturday, May 24, George & Sons Tire LLC sponsored, for the second year in a row, a very well attended Car/Truck Show in the parking lot and area surrounding Lantis Plaza.

The weather was beautiful, and people came from all over for the all-wheels extravaganza, including one young Dexter man who arrived to Stockbridge at 9 a.m. with his trailered truck—hours before the show began—and said he was so excited about the show he hadn’t been able to sleep the night before.

Several hundred car enthusiasts attended to mingle and admire the classic cars, hot rods, collector cars, and specialty vehicles. In addition the show’s organizers made sure there was plenty of food, music and awards for many different vehicle categories—including a burnout contest!

And while everything old seemed new again, the show also featured a contingent of late-model pick-up trucks that were lifted, lighted, and painted to perfection.
