Lady Panthers Season Ends at District Semifinals

An amazing season that saw numerous records broken came to a screeching halt Wednesday night as the Stockbridge girls basketball team fell to Laingsburg 53-49 in the D3 district semifinals at Dansville.

The Panthers struggled offensively from the start falling behind 26-18 at the break. They made just one basket in the second quarter, but was able to stay close by making 7 of 11 free throws in the second.

Things did not get much better in the third as the Wolfpack pushed its lead to  39-26 by outscoring the Panthers 13-8 in the quarter and cruised to the win in the fourth.

Gwen Rogozinski led the Panthers with 25 points, but the rest of the team struggled.

Kaylle Dalton added five points and Madison Mazuca chipped in with four. Chelsey Asquith scored two points, Grace Hall, Rylee Tolson, and Brooklyn Rochow one each.

The Panthers finished with a 16-5 overall record.
