Munith Halloween Parade attracts onlookers—and the Easter Bunny!

On October 30, the Munith Halloween Parade—sponsored by Waterloo and Henrietta townships and local businesses—hit its stride for a large and appreciative crowd of onlookers who were on hand for the event.
The Stockbridge High School marching band did a fantastic job leading the parade. The band was followed by many awesome floats as well as emergency vehicles from the Henrietta Fire Department and the Stockbridge Area Emergency Services Authority (S.A.E.S.A).
Also in the line-up were many “WOW”-worthy vehicles and representatives from several local businesses, not to mention Grand Marshals Craig and Laurie Goodlock who stayed busy clowning around.
And though it can’t be proven, the Munith Halloween Parade may be the only Halloween parade to feature the Easter Bunny, who walked so proudly in the parade creating many big smiles!
Henrietta and Waterloo Townships received generous donations for the parade from Farmers State Bank, Gee Farms, and Stanley Kasprzycki of Hankerd Hills Golf and Restaurant. Those donations went toward free cider, donuts, popcorn and candy bags to all who attended. The treats were distributed by volunteers at Munith United Methodist Church.
Buoyed on by the huge turnout, planners are already looking forward to next year’s Munith Halloween Parade and the possibility of expanding to include prizes for best floats and costumes.
