Obituary: Gay Marie Flores
Gay Marie Flores of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 13, 2026 at the “eternal age of 29.” She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Ezequiel; her twin daughters, Socorro Flores and Corazon (Christopher) Tippens; Maria (Jim) Krohl, and Ezequiel Flores Jr.; grandchildren, Emrys, Viktor, Aiden, Sawyer, Elliott, Finnley, Ethan, Isabella, and Allie; siblings, Mary (Vic) O’Keeffe, Donna (David) Ross, twin sister, Gale (Hans-Rainer) Borchert, and Dean Middlebrook; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Patricia Middlebrook.
Gay was born in Frankfurt, Germany. She graduated from Stockbridge High School Class of 1977 and received her Associate’s Degree from Jackson Community College in General Studies. Gay taught First Communion at the Scared Heart Church. She was a big crafter and enjoyed crocheting and machine embroidering. Gay loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a loving wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Flores is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart/Sagrado Corazon: 608 S. Elm in Jackson, with Father Tim Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home: 204 North Blackstone Street in Jackson on Monday, July 20 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM.
