Panthers Cross Country Teams Sweep First GLAC Jamboree

The Stockbridge boys’ and girls’ cross country teams had a strong showing at the first GLAC Jamboree of the season at Leslie with both teams coming home with first place finishes.

The boys took first with 29 points, beating out Olivet with 49 and Leslie 52.

The Panthers were powered with threee runners finishing in the top four and four in the top 10.

Micah Bolton finished first with a season best time of 17:17.5 with Dalton Satkowiak right behind in second in 17:21.8.

Collin Cook came home fourth in 17:41.5 and Ethan Wright 10th in 18:50.88. Brendan Wright finished 11th with a PR of 18:51.37, DJ Chapman 15th in 20:01.75, and Brady Cole 41st in 28:15.66.

The girls placed three in the top seven and four Panthers ran PR’s as they finished with 45 points to clip Leslie with 55 and Lansing Christian with 57.

Rylee Tolson came home first to lead the Panthers with a time of 18:18.94.

Brooklyn Rochow finished fourth in 20:24.53 and Kaitelyn Walker seventh in 22:17.15.

Freshman Anna Ransom came home with a PR of 23:42.31 to finish 15th and senior Sidney Gipe set a PR with a 20th place finish in 24:31.94. Eliana Johnson finished 30th with a PR time if 25:53.62, Andrea Bowery 34th in 27:25.88, and Alora Mullins was 39th with a PR time of 30:31.91.

The Panthers will compete in the Jackson Invitational Saturday.
