Stockbridge Police responded to the following complaints this week:

6/9/18, 6:15 pm:  Two-car crash in the 800 block of S. Clinton St.  Stockbridge police responded and found that a 22-yr-old Stockbridge man had rear ended a truck driven by a 26-yr-old Howell man who had stopped in front of him for turning traffic.  Fatigue was reported to be involved.  No injuries reported.

6/11/18, 2:55 pm:  Assisted Ingham Co. Sheriff Department. in the 5100 block of S. M-106 with a one-car rollover crash.  Dispatch reported the driver was pinned inside the vehicle and not responding.  Police arrived and found that the driver, a 30-yr-old Florida man, was semi-conscious.  SAESA arrived and was able to extricate the man and transported him to an area hospital for treatment.  It appeared the vehicle left the roadway after failing to negotiate the curve as it travelled northbound.  Alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.  The incident was turned over to the Ingham Co. Sheriff’s deputy.

6/13/18, 6:55 pm:  Traffic stop in the 600 block of W. Main St. for speeding. Police made contact with the driver, a 19-yr-old Garden City man, and smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from inside of the vehicle.  Open alcohol was also observed.  A search was conducted and drugs were discovered and seized along with the alcohol.  He was released pending formal charges. 

6/19/18, 7:30 pm:  Police assisted SAESA in the 200 block of S. Williams St. for a 66-yr.-old woman who was having trouble standing up.  She was transported for evaluation.

6/20/18, 8:30 pm:  One-car traffic crash in the in the 600 block of W. Main St.  Police arrived on the scene to find that the vehicle had crashed into a business sign and damaged it extensively along with the vehicle.  The driver, a 22-yr-old Ann Arbor woman and her two passengers were not injured.

6/22/18, 11:04 am:  Weapons complaint in the 4900 block of S. M-52.  Police were  advised that a 911 call came in from a woman advising that she believed that she witnessed a vehicle being driven by a man who had a woman passenger holding a gun to his head as he drove on M-52 nearing Stockbridge.  Several units attempted to locate the vehicle without success.  The vehicle information was obtained and the owner was located some hours later.  The vehicle was a leased vehicle and the leasing company was notified.  The driver was then able to be identified and his location was determined to be in the Metro Detroit area.  Stockbridge police requested his welfare be checked by a local agency.  He was found to be ok.  No crime. 

6/23/18, 11:30 pm:  Stockbridge police assisted Ingham Co. Sheriff Department with a suspicious situation in the 2400 block of Oakley Rd.  Stockbridge police were asked to assist after it was reported that someone was possibly prowling on the caller’s property. Police arrived with deputies and did not locate anyone.
