Register for Youth Mental Health First Aid
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) teaches parents, coaches, teachers, school staff, camp counselors, first responders, youth group leaders, and community members how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among youth.
Course topics include:
- Common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges
- How to interact with a person in crisis or connect a person with help
- Expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care
Learners complete a 2-hour, self-paced online course and participate in two 2.5-hour, instructor-led training sessions on Tuesday, May 24th and Thursday, May 26th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm in the media center at Stockbridge Jr/Sr High.
