Stockbridge Teen Center Open House on September 4

Crossroads Community Church is proud to present our new Stockbridge Teen Center, which will be held in the Stockbridge Activity Center (SAC) at 305 W Elizabeth Street.

Our goal is to have the Teen Center Open M-F from 2:30-5:30 for students in grades 6-12.  It will offer them a fun, safe environment for doing homework (with the assistance of HS Honor Society students), participate in both indoor/outdoor activities, play video/other games, have snacks and interact with other students and adults who care about them.  This will be a healthy alternative to walking around town or being alone until parents get home from work.  Hours of operation will be dependent upon adult volunteers but we don’t foresee that being an issue.  We’ve had so much positive feedback from our community and people want to be involved.

The Teen Center hours of operation will strictly be for students to hang out and have positive interaction.  Crossroads will be holding their Youth Group there on Wednesday evenings from 6pm-8pm for any students (grades 6-12) who want to come…all are welcome!

A special Thank You to Mike/Leah Dalton and Ed/Lori Zick for allowing us to have this opportunity.  It truly takes a community to make this happen and we’re thankful for all the support we’ve received so far.

There will be an Open House on September 4 from 12pm-5pm, with access at the front West entrance of the building, as well as the back of the building.

This is a dream we’ve had for many years and we’re thrilled to see it become a reality!
