Stockbridge Township will sponsor Harvest Fest this year on September 27, 2025

Wireman motion to amend the Village of Stockbridge Police Department Contract with Stockbridge Township with adding number 13 which states either party can leave the contract with 30 days written notice along Stockbridge Township will pay the Village of Stockbridge $3,33.33 per month due on the 1st of each month for 1 year total of $40,000.00. Stockbridge Township will reevaluate in February 2026 to take to a vote of the people or how to move forward with the Village of Stockbridge Police Muraf Second Roll Call Vote Muraf yes, Wireman Yes, Sommer Yes, Wetherell Yes, Lantis Yes All in Favor Motion Carried

Muraf motion to give Waterloo Township $500.00 in support with current litigation regarding a tax appeal that resulted from the uncapping of residential property owned by a corporation. There were a series of share transfers that exceeded the 50% threshold under the Michigan General Property Tax Act for a proper uncapping. Waterloo Township has successfully defended this appeal through the Small Claims Division of the Tax Tribunal, a Motion for Reconsideration, an appeal to the Michigan Court of Appeals, another Motion for Reconsideration, and now we are at the Michigan Supreme Court. Stockbridge Township Assessor Jake Karl will be leaving Stockbridge Township as of May 30, 2025, Supervisor Lantis, Treasurer Wireman will be taking the lead on hiring a new assessor
