Volleyball Breaks Slump with Pair of Wins
The Stockbridge volleyball team broke its season long slump with a pair of wins this week.
The Panthers opened the week by taking down rival Leslie in three sets 26-24, 25-19, 25-17 Tuesday night.
Grace Hall led the Panthers with 17 digs and 14 kills, while Arin Szumlinski added 15 digs and five aces. Gwen Rogozinski chipped in with 11 digs, four kills, and four aces, while Madi Mazuca 13 assists and four aces.
The Panthers then defeated Napoleon in four sets in a non-league contest Thursday night.
They defeated the Pirates 24-26, 25-17, 25-16, 25-20.
Hall had a huge night with 27 digs and 23 kills. Mazuca added 18 assists and 10 service points, while Szumlinski collected 24 digs. Rogozinski led the team with 23 service points and eight kills, while Maddy Dalton dished out 16 assists.
