Volleyball Rallies for First Win of Season

Things looked bleak for the Stockbridge volleyball team in its home opener last week when the Panthers dropped the first two sets to Quincy Thurday night. Things turned around quickly and the Panthers rallied to take the next three sets and claime a five-set 24-26, 23-25, 25-16, 25-22, 15-8 win over the Orioles.

Quincy pulled out both of the first two sets with late points to take a 2-0 lead.

The Panthers dominted the second set 25-16 and pulled even wit ha hard-fought 25-22 fourth set to send it to a tie-breaking fifth set.

Stockbridge controlled the fifth and took the match 3-2 with the 15-8 win.

Megan Mackinder had a big night with 10 service points, 10 kills, and three blocks at the net for the Panthers.
Maddie Dalton ran the offense with 20 assists and tallied 15 service points. Maggie Jones  was strong at the net with nine kills, three blocks, and had 13 digs, while Gracee Robido and Grace Burg each added 11 points.
The Panthers travel to Dansville Monday night.
