Volleyball Sweeps Grass Lake in Finale
The volleyball team made it six wins in its last nine games after sweeping Grass Lake in the regular season finale Tuesday night. The Panthers swept the Warriors 25-18, 25-13, 25-16 to finish the regular season with an 11-15 overall record.
The first set was tied at 16, but the Panthers outscored the Warriors 9-2 to close out the set.
Stockbridge dominated the last two sets to earn the sweep.
Madison Mazuca had a big offensive night with 19 assists and 10 service points, while Maddy Daulton had 14 points and six assists.
Grace Hall led the team with 17 kills and seven digs, while Arin Szumlinski had eight digs, and Gwen Rogozinski seven kills.
Stockbridge will take part in the Division 2 district at Marshall next week. They will open against Parma Western Monday night at 5:30 PM. Winner advances to the semifinals Wednesday against Chelsea.
