Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball Teams Facing GLAC Title Showdowns This Week

It is down the the final week of the season and the girls and boys basketball teams still have GLAC title hopes heading into tonight’s games with Leslie.

The boys face a must win situation tonight when they face the league leading Blackhawks.

The Panthers trail Leslie by two games with two remaining. Stockbridge would need to beat Leslie tonight and would have to also beat Olivet later this week and still need some help. Leslie would then have to lose to Perry later this week for the Panthers to share the title.

While it is a longshot for the Panthers, if they can’t win the title, they can sure play spoiler for someone.

The girls on the other hand control their own destiny.

The GLAC standing currently have Olivet on top at 10-1 with the Panthers right behind at 9-1.

Stockbridge travels to Leslie tonight to take on the rival Blackhawks. A win puts the Panthers in a winner-take-all showdown Thursday night at Olivet for the GLAC title.

It will be an exciting week of Stockbridge basketball. All games will start at approximately 7:00 PM Tuesday and Thursday.
