Bridge to Wellness: Wellness Connection program inspired participants to build healthy habits
by 5 Healthy Towns Foundation staff
In May, 5 Healthy Towns Foundation and the 5HF Wellness Centers launched the first ever Wellness Connection social media campaign. Designed in partnership with Chelsea Hospital Nutrition Department and Timber Creek Foundation, this free, 8-week program aimed to connect participants to their wellness goals and to the many resources that support strong wellness habits.
The Wellness Connection program was well received; 126 people enrolled. Participants received a free goodie bag that included walking maps, a wellness journal, and more. Each weekly theme explored a dimension of well-being and provided inspiration and tools to help participants build sustainable healthy habits. The themes and goodie bags were supported by weekly wellness videos featuring Chelsea Wellness Center fitness supervisor Liam Hartsuff and other guest speakers, including Nicole Derderian, RD, and Andrew Cuthbert, PsyD. The video clips averaged 477 views each, and viewers watched almost 12 hours of video.
The Wellness Connection marks a renewed effort by 5HF and our Wellness Centers to provide all community members with opportunities to utilize our services to help meet their wellness needs.
Said Steve Petty, 5HF CEO, “The Wellness Connection was a visible outreach campaign designed to engage people to establish healthy habits that are easily integrated into everyday routines.”
