Lady Panthers Roll to Third Straight Win

After dropping two of their first three, the Stockbridge girls’ basketball team has bounced back to win three straight to improve to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the GLAC.

The Panthers started the win streak with a 55-14 pasting of Maple Valley.

Stockbridge jumped to a commanding 26-4 lead after one quarter and never looked back as they cruised by the Lions.

Gwen Rogozinski outscored the whole Maple Valley team with a team-high 16 points, including eight to spark the first-quarter run.

Gracee Robidou had a big game for the Panthers scoring nine first-half points and finishing the night with 12.

Alaina Kellenberger was a force inside with 10 points, while Makayla Surline and Brooklyn Rochow scored six each. Rylee Tolson chipped in with five first-quarter points for the Panthers.

Stockbridge made it two straight with a hard-fought 42-32 win over Pinckney in a non-league contest.

The game was close throughout with the Pirates leading 15-14 after one and the Panthers taking the lead 22-21 at the half.

The Panther defense clamped down on the Pirates in the second half, holding Pinckney to just 11 points as Stockbridge would pull away for the win.

Rogozinski had a big night with 21 points including nine in the third when the Panthers would pull away.

Rochow chipped in with nine points and Kellenberger seven. Robidou finished with three points and Paige Stolarz two.

Stockbridge improved to 2-0 in the GLAC with a 60-23 throttling of Perry December 17.

The Panthers took a 16-4 lead behind a pair of triples by Robidou in the first quarter. And the lead would grow to 27-10 at the half and would never look back.

Rogozinski scored 16 in the third quarter and finished with a team-high 26 points.

Kellenberger had a big night with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. Robidou finished with nine points, Tolson five, and Shailynn Walker two.
